Former Employee My overall experience at CentralSquare was a mix of strong personal growth and some organizational challenges. On the positive side, compensation was competitive, and I had the benefit of working under solid direct management that supported my sales efforts and respected the sales team’s contributions.
That said, the broader organizational environment presented some real hurdles. A key challenge was a pattern of overpromising to customers—particularly around product capabilities, implementation timelines, and support resources. This created trust issues in the market and often made it difficult to sustain customer confidence during the sales cycle. Inconsistent service delivery and support further damaged the company’s brand reputation, which I frequently had to overcome during prospecting and negotiations.
Despite these challenges, I consistently exceeded quota and found success by being transparent with customers, setting realistic expectations, and focusing on solution alignment.
