Great Base salary for a GAM compared to the other competitors in telecom, but made extremely hard to find good accounts that aren't already taken, no sale in a 6 month rolling average in your first year automatically fired. No sale in a 3 month rolling average moving on...fired, no ifs ands or buts. Unless you are handed a book you wont last long, turnover is incredibly high.

Very poor overall business strategy. They want experienced business people to be telemarketers. Very small chance for anyone to realistically make the money they were shown on offer letters. Morale stays low as you can always look at the leaderboard to realize less than 10% of the sales force is remotely close to their goal. With most not even being at 20% of their...Read More

Cogent is a great place to get started in telecommunication's sales. I wouldn’t say the benefits outside of compensation opportunity is great, and it is hard to make it. Most hired will be terminated within the first 6 months. But if you are a rep that can succeed here, the sky is the limit as far as what you are able to earn.
