Current Employee Enverus as a whole is a fantastic place to work. However, there exists within the ranks toxic management that affects the growth, mental well-being, and morale of parts of the organization. We have managers that tell the leaders under them (direct reports) "if you can't do (xyz) why do I pay you? Why do I need you?" This same manager also frowns upon PTO and talks negatively about those who take it regularly. They also offer next to nothing in terms of actionable, quantifiable feedback, nor do they structure their 1 on 1s in such a manner as to truly understand what's going on within the TL's teams. At least a chunk of the time, they try to get out of the one on ones by asking "got anything for our one on one?" At no point is longterm career growth talked about in any real level of detail. However, all that said, upper management is great, we have a great list of fantastic products, and most everyone embodies our core values. It does feel at times though like I'm swimming against a stream and innovative, creative ideas are frowned upon and dismissed (by one manager).
