Current Employee Hologram is a difficult sales organization to work for, both in business development roles and account executive roles. The pay is higher than industry average but it is a high stress job. The industry is highly competitive, very price sensitive, and relatively niche. There are not endless companies to sell to and the executive team is struggling to adjust from the high volume lower CARR (ACV) to less opportunity volume but higher CARR as they move up market and sales cycles taking longer with deal complexity of going up market. This makes it very painful to be a BDR with extremely high quota expectations (15+ opportunities a month) and an AE with expectations to be doing outbounding while balancing running full cycle on 50+ opportunities at any given time.
Again, the pay is great, the benefits are pretty good, the offsites can be fun, but it’s a tough environment to work in sales. Browse Other Reviews
