What is the career progression/hierarchy per segment. SMB, Startups, Mid-Market, Enterprise?

You need to specify what business line you are talking about (Talent Solutions? Sales Solutions? Marketing Solutions?) All sell to a different type of customer/use case and don't intermingle much. That said, when I was there it was a fairly linear progression from SMB up to Enterprise. You typically had to perform in your role for 2 years as a top performer relative to your peers in order to be promoted to the next role, and would be bumped up when an opportunity opened up. This usually wasn't a problem going from SMB to Mid Market (AE1 - AE3) but enterprise roles (AE4) were scarce and filled with good sellers in relatively cushy jobs, so it was hard to come by an open position at this level.

I wouldn't say there's much of a difference in career progression amongst the segments.  Your progression is likely mostly upward from segment to segment (IE: if you start in SMB, you're typically aspiring to rise to MM and then to ENT and then to Strategic/Key Accounts).   Outside of moving up the segment ranks, many are focused on moving into leadership roles or moving across business lines.

Like other large companies it can be very competitive. You are required to apply and compete for any job promotions. If you perform well, you should expect to progress every few years to the next level until you hit enterprise. Making it to large enterprise is much more difficult and not guaranteed.

No start ups team - they Could work with any segment.

Getting from SMB to MME isn’t that difficult. However, not many reps make it to enterprise as the teams are small and generally have low turnover, but they add 1-3 new reps a year depending on the market and turnover.
