Former Employee The great run that was Meraki within Cisco is officially over. There are a lot of great people in the organization that are doing the right thing, there are many that have been laid back for years and have been cashing decent checks. But as of right now, Cisco is re-orging and pushing people into roles they did not sign up for without compensation or grade level changes. It has become apparent how little Cisco values their people in non-enterprise networking. Meraki had a great run but I would stay away from joining Cisco SMB/MM for the next couple of years as they figure out strategy. The hardest part about being in this role has been dealing with the constant changes, broken systems, delayed commission checks, inaccurate commissions without clarity, and overall strategy. The SMB/MM teams have been the last to find out any changes and it is making sellers focus more internally and politically than selling to their customers. There are many pros to being within Cisco but right now is just not the time and I don't see resolution for 2-3 years.
