Mimecast is behind on keeping up with the competition. The new CEO is making a lot of changes and consequently changed the comp plan to where you no longer make a good living. I was a high performer before he came in. I achieved 125% of quota before he came on. Now with being behind with new products and his structure and culture the moral and performance levels of all of sales is about 60-70%.

Mimecast is going through a lot of changes right now. SMB reps are now handling both new business and upsell - this is the first year with the hybrid role. It’s more work and there hasn’t been a bump in pay to match. They also got rid of quarterly accelerators, so most reps will probably end up making less this year than in the past.
