Every red flag possible. Major leadership shakeup at every level. Big revenue miss in 2024. Restructuring teams. Clueless new managers (with a few exceptions). Recent RIFs impacting teams. Completely restructured comp plan. Tracking activity like a hawk. PE is looking to sell Monotype. No training. Major insecurity among peers- many are interviewing elsewhere before more RIFs gut the org. Product is overpriced and company has a terrible reputation w/ customers. NOT the time to be here.

Monotype is a great company to work for. They really care about their employees and the product itself is quite interesting.

Org wants to be seen as a technology company, but it’s 100% an IP licensing play. Opps are sourced by finding companies who are using monotype owned fonts and going after them for past use. Contentious sale process. Other business units seem ok but the sales org is a complete mess. OTE in year 1 is nowhere near possible.
