Current Employee - Monotype is a fantastic place to work.
- Great hook for selling, strong incentives for prospects to buy.
- Base pay is pretty bad against the industry, not sustainable.
- Commissions are fantastic as you are paid on the full contract value, this does offset the poor base salary.
- Management are good but not the greatest. Quite disconnected from the market and out of touch with reality. But are there to make the PE owners happy, and you can see every decision they make is to help out PE owners gear up for a sale soon.
- Ridiculously overpriced for what we actually sell, 10-100x higher than our competitors. But it does still sell!
- A lot of change recently on the ACV model and comms structure but has just made it harder to hit target, whilst paying more for deals. I’ve done 130% of my OTE whilst only being 70% to target!
- Great company overall, just a bit tight on the base pay, and are becoming less flexible on the Hybrid model. Want people in office more and more.
