I genuinely enjoyed my time working at Morningstar. The culture is incredibly unique, and the company is filled with talented individuals. From top to bottom, they will encourage you to find and grow your professional passions. I would consider Morningstar a very “academic-friendly” environment, where many of your colleagues are in grad school at night and studying for professional exams (CFA, CPA, CFP, etc.). The pay might be on the lower end of the scale for your position/experience, but overall it is a fantastic place to work.

I have had a great experience. I feel we reward high achievers and hard workers. I have had really great career progression and opportunity at this company. I’ve learned a lot and gotten to work on exciting and complex deals. Our compensation leaves something to be desired but it could be worse.
