What makes the Culture and Leadership so toxic at Prometheus? The Score on here is awful

The executive leadership team and management have a 'burn and churn' attitude. Many of the sales leaders have not had any experience selling anywhere else and are indoctrinated into the 'Prometheus' way of selling which is hardcore, high pressure tactics not only on the customer but also the sales people. The recruiting strategy is to hire 50 to keep 5 and this is a very poor approach.  Don't expect to join Prometheus and have any kind of input on how business is conducted, regardless of whether it supports growth or improves processes. The management team are very narrow minded and are not open to input from their teams and lack the ability of empowerment or empathy. It's their way or the highway! Steer clear of this company if you have a sense of worth and value your mental health and don't get sucked into the 'Beer Thursday's' and half a day off on Friday, it's a trap!!!

Based on the other responses it looks like not much has changed here from the toxic leadership perspective. Backstabbing, stealing accounts, disrespect and unprofessional behavior are tolerated and highly encouraged. On top of that the pay is well below par for AEs.

It all stems from the CEO, he views employees as expendable, and has surrounded himself with an under-qualified c-suite. There is no culture of trust there, so nobody is allowed to work remote or hybrid, managers micromanage like crazy, they track clicks, mouse movement, etc... All of the c-suite and management are former sales people who have only ever worked for Prometheus, with no leadership or management training. To be frank, they don't know what they're doing. The business model doesn't help either, there is little to no training for staff, and instead of being strategic, marketing their products, or structuring the sales organization like most companies, they rely on inefficient mass cold calling. Furthermore, pay is substandard, commission rate is low, very few reps manage to make a sale, let alone hit quota, and the benefits like PTO and parental leave are minimal.

Its a churn and burn culture. They will milk you for all your worth, then dispose of you if you don't quit first.

If you aren't  A) part of the cool kids club that was there from the start or B) a rep who has somehow lasted more than 3 years and earned a spot in the cool kids club; you are a number to management. They would sell you into slavery if it meant an extra 1% on their YOY growth. I saw one rep get fired 2 weeks before Christmas and 1 week after the birth of his first born.

Any concerns or request are met with a "Just close more business".

The entire sales leadership had zero leadership experience prior to Prometheus, so they have no idea how to lead a sales team. The current CRO worked at The Raleigh Rec Center before PG, the VP of Sales was a high school guidance Counselor,  and the NA Sales Director had only ever worked as a Sales representative, no managerial experience.

I cant speak to the leadership in other departments, but I know all the top execs are also in the early-on cool kids club.

So if you want to be successful at PG, try to make it 3 years without getting fired when you don't hit a made-up quota number or without quitting for many reasons, and you may just earn yourself a spot in the club. Good luck!

Just read the honest opinion of many ex-employees, go to Glassdoor, and ignore the 5-star ratings, which are clearly fake (they can't even do that right).
Use your judgment, trust your guts.
