Not good compensating and new messy leadership you don’t get paid till closing happens 7 months later and they will keep you on hourly until they have a spot for you and call it training pay.

My first builder. They gave me an opportunity. They had training and supportive colleagues. They pay less than most other builders. I don’t think they serve their employees well and the turnover rate was extremely high.

This was unfortunately a very toxic environment from the top to the bottom and remains so even with the new company Sekisui House that acquired Richmond American Homes. I wonder if the new company leaders know what is going on there.

Culture is great if you're selling and providing value for the company. When you're not, micromanagment will follow. It you don't have a roling sales average of 2 sales a month for 90 days, you will be put on a performance plan to sell 1-2 homes by the end of the month or be terminated.
