Current Employee There is no transparency or logic in quota setting. The higher your base salary, the higher your quota. Earn a raise, quota goes up. Over achieve through sheer grit and determination, territory shrinks and quota goes up. There are no SPIFFS or programs. The only way to make money, is on new revenue. Services pays 1.5%. You will not make a ton on services. People leading compensation have never worked anywhere else and have no background or experience developing comp plans. In true SAS fashion, they promote people who have only worked at SAS for the last 30 years. They need to hire externally for senior leadership roles.
