Current Employee TTI only hires externally for the Field Sales and Marketing Rep(FSMR), and all other hires are internal, so everyone in the company starts out as an FSMR. FSMR's get paid around 55-56k yearly, and there is no commission or incentive structure.
The FSMR role is basically a glorified Home Dept associate. Our products are sold in the Home Depot, so that is our workplace every day. Our responsibilities include in-ailse selling to customers and executing tasks from each brand. That includes setting up new products on the shelves, downstocking product, partnering with Home Depot store managers and supervisors to advocate for our brands, etc. We do like three jobs in one.
As a woman working in Home Depot, and in a male-dominated field, it can be challenging to work with condescending contractor men who come in the store, and I can also feel overlooked by people within my company.
