While Torch is a great startup that has a clear path to growth, the pay is quite low and the overall quality of the job is poor. A very "luxury" and hard product to sell, it is almost completely ignored by a lot of Dental Practices. Even when showing Dentists the value of streamlining and being able to save, it is very commonly shut down after spending tons of time identifying pains and tailoring Torch solutions. It is definitely a great company to start your sales career to understand important sales fundamentals and there is tons of people to lean on, and opportunity for promotion. However, it is very poorly managed, with constant changes to commission structures, random layoffs, and some unhelpful managers.

Definition of a churn and burn sales environment. 80 dials a day minimum with no marketing to support you. AE's are also expected to run the full cycle with minimal to no BDR support. I think the compensation is the biggest downside and it can be hard to feel motivated longterm. Great direct manager but upper management is not transparent or in touch
