My time at this sales organization has been a mix of hard lessons and meaningful wins. The structure gave me the freedom to take ownership of my accounts and run with strategies that actually made sense for the people I was talking to. When you’re selling something that solves a real problem, like cleaning up unauthorized sellers or stabilizing MAP pricing, the conversations get real pretty quickly. What helped me succeed was staying close to the customer’s pain and being clear about how we could help. I leaned into using real examples and relevant data rather than fluff, and I always tried to keep the focus on them, not me. There were definitely challenges too. At times, internal misalignment or slow handoffs made it harder to keep momentum. I had to learn when to push, when to pause, and how to get things done without stepping on toes. All in, the wins came from showing up consistently, being useful, and keeping things simple. Flashy doesn’t close deals. Follow-through does.
