Alera Group as a company, overall is great. I haven’t had any complaints with my specific office management or the regional management. There is a lot of support and available resources for development. I come from retail sales and just haven’t adjusted to this type of industry. The main focus for anyone entering the insurance industry should be networking and COI’s. If you try to translate value base/product selling, it will be an uphill battle. A lot of prospects heavily rely on relationships. As someone new to the industry trying to make a splash it is very difficult and sales cycles can take years before you make the relationship.

Overall while the company has adequate resources for employees, they lack the support needed for brand new representative to the industry. While the organization does have growing pains it is working on developing resources and processes.
