The pay is terrific, because of the RSUs and the run up of the stock. However, everyone that I know in the org privately says that the pay is the only reason they stay here.

I worked at VMware for many years prior to Broadcom's acquisition. The role has competitive pay, but that's about it. Very uncertain future outlook and customers who are not at all happy about the direction they've taken VMware. Many routine layoffs that will not slow down anytime soon. Leadership typically uses their reps as cannon fodder for unhappy customers.
