Current Employee Challenging Work Environment with No Support for Sales Team
I've been with Macrium Software for a year, and unfortunately, the experience has been challenging, especially within the sales department. There's no formal sales training or support in place. New hires are often thrown into the role without proper guidance or resources, which makes ramping up incredibly difficult.
One of the most frustrating aspects is that the sales compensation plan is managed by the CFO, who has no prior experience in sales or finance. This has resulted in unattainable quotas for the entire sales team, leading to high turnover. The commission structure is tied only to closed-won deals, meaning even if you're hitting key milestones like stage 3 discovery calls, you don't get paid unless the deal closes. On top of that, commissions are paid out quarterly, but in the year I've been here, no one has hit quota, making it nearly impossible to earn what you're worth.
It's a frustrating environment, and until there are changes in leadership and more support for the sales team, it's hard to recommend this company for anyone looking for a fulfilling and sustainable sales career. Browse Other Reviews
