Former Employee MC is a great company that has no business running a mid-market sales motion at this time. This upmarket pivot feels like it was designed by a few Intuit execs/outside consultants who have little exposure to the larger SaaS sales landscape.
The base comp is generous, but the long-term feasibility of the sales org feels uncertain at best. Sales is bogged down by red-tape from Intuit, the generally sales-averse MC culture, a product that doesn't stir excitement, and a market that feels like it's simply moved on.
MC and the sales leadership are cosplaying as a market leading, fast, cutting edge company, where a leaner, slower, and more intentional approach would have served better. There are some great people here, and some reasons to stick around, but they are sadly becoming fewer and farther between.
