Current Employee The good:
- Popmenu is a high-quality product that does solve an important issue for the market: a mom-and-pop restaurant's ability to stay competitive with large chains online.
- Company leadership is transparent about metrics, goals, and GTM strategies.
The bad:
- restauranteurs are a difficult ICP. They're not usually college educated, tech savvy, or business-oriented plus they got into one of the only industries in the world with ever-evolving, dynamic inventory and labor costs.
- churn is an issue, and sales feels the brunt of that. If your client doesn't make it to the end of their contract, at least a portion of your commission gets clawed back regardless of who's at fault. Instead of focusing on acquiring new business, a lot of effort ends up going towards keeping the business you've already sold. Browse Other Reviews
