How long is the average sales cycle here?

It depends.

ADP operates in all segments.

In small business --> 2-3 weeks
In mid market --> 2-9 months
In upmarket --> 2-9 months
Nationals --> Not really sure

We also have a slew of other ancillary products that can be sold for quicker hits.

Enterprise deals (1k and up EE count) can be 6-24 months depending on the size of the client and where the buying cycle lines up for making a change. Contracts are prevalent in this segment, so timing is always an issue. You'll need to be in a sales process 6-12 months prior to any contract expiration to time an implementation.

In Major Accounts UpMarket Div., unless there is immediate need, the sales cycle can be as long as a year to give time to build rapport/a relationship with the prospects. They’ve most likely gone through so many terrible implementations at this point they won’t budge unless they trust you first

Sales cycles depend on the business unit you are selling for. SMB should be a few days/weeks. Majors is a few months, and Enterprise/Nationals can be 6-18 months.

It depends on which business unit you’re in. Small business is littered with one-call-closes since you’re dealing with business owners that just want the cheapest payroll. Major Accounts is longer (30-90 days) because there are more stakeholders that care about more than just price.
