There was a mix of experienced and highly competent sales and technical professionals mixed with a group of tenured pros who were disillusioned and disengaged with their jobs. The latter made it difficult to get things done because they had so much institutional knowledge about how important business processes work, so you learn to live with the inevitable delays and lack of customer satisfaction.

The organization as a whole is always evolving to meet the market. However, my division was in a dying industry and innovating to be competitive in the market was a position this specific division was slow to take on, which made it challenging for the overall salesforce.
