How challenging is it for new Account Executives to meet their sales targets at BambooHR?

The training is great, the people are good, the work ethic is unmatched, and customers love the product. VERY FEW reps hit goal consistently after level one and most leave within two years. Realizing then that they were way underpaid all along.

Very difficult, frankly. To be honest, it’s difficult for tenured Bamboo reps to hit. Attainment is very low, quotas are high and demotion is always knocking at the door. If you have offers elsewhere, take them.

I was with bamboo as recently as 2022. I worked in both smb and mid market. Mid market felt nearly impossible, however smb was pretty easy in my opinion. Less reps more inbound leads, more transactional deals. I hit and exceeded quota month after month.

Very challenging. There was a new hire group of 12 start of last year. Of that group, only 3 made it to one year.

Targets are unrealistic. You will get great training though.

Honestly, the software can be tough to learn. It’s a big hurdle to doing well since there’s so much you have to know as a new rep. We don’t have sales engineers, so you just have to know the software if you’re going to sell it. That said, everyone helps each other out and there’s ample training.

Nearly impossible. They stay overstaffed regularly so even if you have an insane close rate, the numbers just don't add up to being able to hit goal without self-sourcing a lot or getting lucky with a big deal. All close-lost and lead lists available are worthless as well so you're at the mercy of the inbound leads you get assigned to you
