Current Employee Boomi is a strong product, but it requires significant technical expertise to sell effectively. The company’s culture has been inconsistent. Originally focused on enterprise, Boomi launched a new mid-market sales structure based in Vancouver, which led to layoffs in the U.S. and created tension between American and Canadian teams. While Vancouver started with a positive culture, ongoing changes from leadership eroded that atmosphere.
Comp plans shifted unfavorably. We were hired on a 60/40 split, which was later changed to 50/50—acceptable if base pay remained intact and OTE increased, but instead, we were pressured to accept lower base salaries.
Commission dropped from 15–17% of ACV to just 7% in 2024, with added accelerators. In 2025, it was cut again to around 4%, now tied to linearity—requiring monthly closes or facing clawbacks. Despite these changes, targets nearly doubled, even though fewer than 20% of reps hit quota in 2024. Leadership now seems to realize the ship is sinking.
