Would not recommend working as an SDR here. Mid-management are supportive enough but senior management are not transparent and do not foster career growth.

We understand how important supportive leadership, transparency, and clear career growth are, especially in an SDR role and we appreciate you calling out those areas. Since this review was originally written, we’ve put a lot of focus into strengthening both communication and development across the team. In our most recent bi-annual engagement survey, 93% of the XDR group agreed that our executive leaders keep them informed about what’s happening at Canto — a positive indicator in how we are approaching transparency and company wide communication today. We also saw 87% of XDR team members say their manager shows genuine interest in their career aspirations, which reflects the continued effort we’ve put into supportive, hands on coaching at the mid management level. Career growth has also become a major priority. Over the past several months, multiple XDRs have moved into AE, AM, and CS roles, supported by clearer pathing and additional enablement resources to help them prepare for what’s next. We’re grateful for your honesty and your time at Canto. Feedback like this has helped shape many of the improvements we’ve made, and we’ll keep building on that progress for both current and future team members.

Unofuntately outdated sales Strategies (Spray and pray) SDR Managment doesnt really support or help with strategy, you have to figure out yourself what works. When you dont perform your get pressured into doing outdated tactics even though they obviously dont work. Fine to break into Tech Sales but not if you arent capable of learning on your own what works.

While we give SDRs autonomy to lean into their strengths and experiment with creative outreach, we also work hard to provide structure and support. Today, the team benefits from leveraging curated filters in LinkedIn Navigator and ZoomInfo, persona and vertical specific messaging drafts, and weekly email and phone workshops to build skill and confidence. We’ve also introduced AI powered prompts for profile analysis and personalization, helping reps focus on targeted, relevant outreach rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Personalization and cadence variation are core to our strategy, and we continue refining those practices based on performance data and team feedback.
