How does Enable support and prepare new sales team members during the onboarding process? Did you feel ready to hit the ground running?

Enable's onboarding process is a mix of small group trainings as well as 1:1 coaching and practice sessions to ensure you are set up for success. Like many companies, the training includes passing a certification. New hires can go through the process more than once if they need more coaching and preparation. Although it is urban myth, Enable has not terminated any new hires due to not passing the certification (2024 data review.) The process is designed so that someone who is engaged and coachable will complete onboarding ready to join their team and learn more.

They make you go through this ridiculous presentation cert that makes it seem all deals go one perfect way. I saw many people not pass and get fired. Issue is you’re going into something with likely no pipeline at all so the cert prepares you for a presentation that won’t come likely for 2-3 months.

Onboarding consists of a team approach to learning with your onboarding class, and the ultimate goal is to prepare you for a demo cert within 7 days, that must be passed to keep role. Like most places, it's the typical drink from the firehose approach and product, personas, etc. The chief focus is on KPI's like calls and emails so anyone will be all set to do that for sure but overall the training can be improved as most things.

Very badly. Seriously the whole ramping and onboarding is a joke and something out of a horror movie. I liked the idea of fast learning but the way they ramp you up is crazy, zero account & territory planning. Just a random list based on 5-6 different countries & they expect you to segment yourself

The onboarding is decent but you have to pass a certification at the end of your second week which is a mock discovery and demo. Scoring is pretty subjective, and if you fail twice you’re fired.

(And yes, they genuinely do let reps go after two weeks if you don’t pass the cert)

It is not an “urban myth”, new hires absolutely do get fired in week 3 if they fail the cert twice. There is no third attempt.
