Fastenal is a great place to start your sales career. It’s a growth oriented company committed to training/developing their employees. It is a decentralized company, so the culture depends largely on your district and direct report. If you work hard, you can be rewarded, but Fastenal loses a lot of people mid-career. Fastenal is a company in transition. It’s finding its new identity, so there has been a lot of positive change in recent years.

Good place to get your start. Lots of opportunities. Cons: rigid guidelines, no remote, saturated market, high pressure.

Great for experience! I would recommend this to anyone that would like SDR experience. There is a ton of opportunity to move into different roles within this company. As far as a path up in the SDR Program, I am not sure if there is a career path for that.
