The work environment is toxic, but I’ve been told this is a norm in telco. If you’re looking for some where that is solely money driven where they will nickel and dime you then this is your spot. Don’t expect to make great relationships with team members unless you’re lucky and plan on fighting for your opportunities with vps, other account executives, and other situations involving admin work. The company needs help with innovation and culture on a high scale internally.

My overall experience with FTR was below average. The compensation plan gets cut every year and they are auditing every deal that closes, attempting not to pay the AEs.

Illinois market was difficult to break into as many competitors with Fiber funding from Goverment and shared Fiber for smaller clients. Success was with larger orgs with needs for diversity
