My overall experience at Goosehead was a negative one. There was not a lot of structure with training, at times I didn't receive any help at all. Leadership and culture was very toxic to say the least, I have never experienced anything like it.

Fantastic place to work as a college graduate. Lots of young hungry sales people who want to grow. Leadership while I was there was a boiler room frat house. Lots of sexual scandals between managers and I.C.’s - politics as well. Overall the experience gave me a ton of practice saying no and an appreciation for what I can do when I set my mind to it. Overall worked too hard for too little compensation, with no real help from “managers” or “sales coaches”. Biggest problem is they promoted ambitious sales people who had 0 interest in managing. Overall the work and company is not bad, base salary of $45K is not bad as service/maintaining current clients, but the most support and income is reserved for sales agents, but the company makes it difficult to transition from service into sales with a preference to sales from outside of the company instead of within.
