Compensation is out of your control due to discounts given to corporate hospitals that create a headwind in your Territory Revenue Growth resulting in it neutralizing any net new business wins, which is demoralizing. Base pay is well below market, merit increase are below market and promotional opportunities are the hunger games - more of a retention tool then a way to celebrate consistent over-delivery. Open territory responsibilities as well as new hire training is dumped on senior sales professionals. Product pricing and price increases are greedy and driven by Wall St, not the veterinarian profession.

There is minimal opportunity for growth unless you live near the headquarters in Maine. You have minimal control over the revenue growth in your territory, yet that is where 2/3 of your bonus comes from. If a hospital closes, you are responsible for making up that amount. That may be ok for a small town, but in a mid sized or large city, that is nearly impossible....Read More

Great springboard role to get you in the industry. Not many people are promoted internally, and most role openings consider external hires over leveling internal employees up. Great company culture and mission.
