Current Employee Overall, Insight Global is a good entry-level sales job — especially for anyone looking to learn quickly and get real exposure to business development, client management, and leadership. You’ll gain a ton of experience early on, and the compensation structure creates real earning potential. The commission is uncapped, and it’s entirely possible to make well over $300,000 by your mid-20s if you’re high-performing and willing to grind.
The culture is very youthful, and competitive. The company promotes all leadership from within, which has both positives and drawbacks. On one hand, there’s a strong sense of opportunity and growth — everyone in management has walked in your shoes. On the other hand, it can lead to a lack of outside perspective and limited long-term vision when it comes to strategy and problem-solving.
The majority of hires are straight out of college, and the structure reflects that. Expectations are very defined, and at times the environment can feel micromanaged or overly process-driven. Base salaries are noticeably lower than those offered by many other commission-based sales competitors in the same markets, which makes the incentive structure highly performance-dependent.
