Former Employee My overall experience was mediocre. The Honolulu team was awesome but the financial services industry is really a who you know, and who trusts you business. They have an excellent sales training program but there is ZERO, I repeat ZERO leads that are fed to you. It really is all about who you know and who will set meetings with you.
If you accept a role with Northwestern, be ready to SELL insurance. Investment management is an afterthought. Be ready to list out 200 of your closest contacts and be ready to call them.
If successful in the role, the earning potential is crazy. I personally witnessed someone make $50,000 on one sale of life insurance with only 18 months in the role. But this was to a major client who had a lot of money to spend on life insurance.
If you don’t feel comfortable trying to do business with family and friends, I would not recommend the position to you. Browse Other Reviews
