A recent, unexpected RIF (even my Director+ manager was unaware) is primarily the reason for this. Individuals were informed via email and left with no means to appropriately off board (including saying goodbyes since slack was disabled). Very cold and shows the true culture and sentiment of how much hard-working employees are not really cared about.

SE variable comp is tied to region performance (APAC, AMER, EMEA), not split between team, individual MBOs, etc.
