Current Employee Square offers strong internal recognition and a solid product-market fit, especially in less competitive verticals. However, frequent strategic pivots make it difficult to gain traction against competitors like Toast or Shopify, who dominate their niches. BDRs are often treated more like appointment setters than future AEs, which can hinder development. While there is some upward mobility, compensation and career progression lag behind other top-performing orgs. Great culture, but not the most competitive sales environment.
