Current Employee In my first year the compensation plan was changed 3 times. Each with higher quota and less attainability based on not only metrics, but actual physical supplies. The most common and core supplies that businesses need were completely removed from compensation value. So, what you sold to get your foot in the door may have counted towards your quota, but was not eligible for commissions. Majority of clients need a lot of account management to be retained, so time spent assisting your clients with fulfillment needs, accounting discrepancies, new customer quotes, account maintenance, shipping assistance etc was a full time job in itself. The job was to attain as many new clients as possible each month and prospecting and obtaining new appointments was vital to your success. However, constant changes in product fulfillment as well as higher cost changes with a cut throat competitive market…retention of clients dropped after two to three months on average. Not to mention, our highest competitor, Amazon..the company sold out to them. Offering our exclusive products to be purchased through their platform, removing 80% of our competitive edge for 2025. Reps are now left wondering how to market a product and facing layoffs. Browse Other Reviews
