Current Employee Swoogo has a strong overall company culture, but the sales environment has become increasingly difficult. What started as a positive sales culture has shifted toward micromanagement and reduced trust in individual contributors. There’s a growing sense that sales professionals are not being empowered to do their jobs effectively, which has impacted morale and performance.
The disconnect between product development and sales expectations is also a concern. Sales teams are being asked to charge significantly more for a product that has not meaningfully improved, making it difficult to build credibility with customers and feel confident in the value being sold.
Turnover within the sales organization has been high, including the departure of SDRs and sales engineers. This lack of stability further contributes to an uncertain and demotivating work environment.
Without changes at the top, particularly within the sales leadership team, it will be difficult to rebuild a healthy, productive culture. A strong internal environment is essential for external success—if the work environment isn't supportive, selling becomes far more challenging.
