Sales team headcount increased by 87% in the past year? What the hell is going on?

Is there a GTM strategy or are they hiring for the sake of hiring?

Previous answer said the territory is free for all, how does that work?

Also is the tiered commission structure still in place?

The leadership has zero clue what they're doing. They're hiring to hire. No one is hitting their quota. Don't waste your time.

Yes tiered structure is still in place and it sucks. Tiered structures are common these days but it’s the fact it does not reset after 6 months, is a joke.

TT isn’t a groundbreaking enough product with a large substantial addressable target market to have quotas so high. You also have no SDR.

The current strategy is hire and fire - if you're successful, great. But if you're not your basic salary is low anyway and the commission plans are so skewed towards the company that you're easily replaceable.

In the UK, the country manager came in and there was initial optimism around the place. We needed an external voice but truly, he has made no meaningful impact on making the lives of reps easier. Territories were delayed and his response was literally 'tough', which has caused a very slow start to the year. Through the grapevine, I also understand that managers are unhappy working with him due to his rude and direct nature.

There's also been no evidence that he knows the product and how to sell himself.

Managers beneath him aren't much better with all bar one lacking real external experience. You won't learn anything and all you would be told is to do more activity and be put under pressure when you don't hit your target. At least before the new country manager, the culture was nice and relaxed. Now you're working hard for little in return. It's honestly hard to stay motivated.

The only positive I can think of is that for their entry-level AE roles, they don't require closing experience. So as long as you tick their boxes: female, bubbly and decent at roleplaying you're in. Chances are once these people have had a long enough stint as a closer, they'd be out looking for better in a few years too.

A host of people joined 6 months ago, with their probation up it will be interesting to see how many are left. Many are already struggling so will likely but moved out.
