Trend Micro

Current Employee The platform is strong. Although it has its shortcomings like most technologies, it does solve problems, is highly ranked, and there are new developments. What is concerning is that Trend is not making strategic acquisitions that could lead to an increase in customer base like they did with the acquisition of TippingPoint. Why did they build a SIEM and not just acquire one? Their marketing and channel is very antiquated. Other competitors who now dominate the market like Crowdstike and Wiz are a lot more aggressive with their marketing and partnerships. For example, Crowdstike long ago partnered with cyberinsurance companies and DFIR partners to get into companies when they get breached. Trend Micro has yet to own these types of partnerships. Customers and channel partners don't think of Trend Micro like they should be. Costs are being cut and all the pressure is being put on sales to deliver when the enterprise customer base in the US has dwindled to almost nothing. They try to bring in sales leaders from other regions to lift sales but unfortunately the markets are different in those regions (ie legal implications of breaches) Browse Other Reviews
