Field roles are heavy grind roles. Lots of after office-hours networking events. Internal underwriting team clearly tries to kill reps deals instead of helping sell them in order to protect insurance premium rates.

Fair compensation and relatively low stress for the job, however, there are too many paths of resistance to climb in order to make the sale in some cases.. you're set if you get a CFO/ CEO/ key decision maker on your calls... all goes back to pricing and competing with CPAs

I was with this organization for 7 years, a top producer in my market for 3 years. It provides a great foundation for business acumen and sales process as well as education in insurance and HR but for what a seller is required to know, do, and understand overall comp is low.

Market fit can vary by vertical. Territories are verticalized and within a pretty narrow geographic area.
