My overall experience was okay. On a new team where we are building out the sales process and messaging. Lots of autonomy, but difficult to learn when there’s little history.

SMB has been split off from Mid Market to its own vertical with new Exec leadership. Good move and good leadership.

The base compensation is higher to attract AE’s from UKG’s competition. The training and management was entirely subpar and upper leadership put all the pressure on new AE’s to perform under limited guidance. Inbound leads virtually non-existent and they rely on corny webinars and cheap sales tactics to secure meetings, often leading to wasted time for their AE’s.

Given all the tools necessary to be successful in a BDR role. Not a clear path to AE and company does not typically promote from within although there are programs being put in place to address this.
