Question

I’ve read great things about Wiz and the “upcoming IPO”, I see there’s a SoCal Enterprise role open but I’m concerned with their “playbook” approach and how well that does or doesn’t not mesh with customers and build the internal culture.

Is Wiz still worth joining?

If what you are most 'concerned' about is the 'playbook' approach I highly recommend reading and researching more deeply and speaking to people that are nearing their year at the company or the many people that have recently left.

I joined Wiz as an Enterprise rep about 4 months ago - I think 100% it is the right time to join as we continue to expand our platform and the number of SKUs we can sell. 
The "playbook" approach works well with our customers, our focus is all around a customer first approach, and our approach allows us to build strong, meaningful relationships with our customers.

The company is morally bankrupt when it comes to sales, so stay away at all costs. Toxic is too nice of a word to explain what is really going on there.  With respect to the playbook, you'll be asked to complete between 5-10 artifacts per accounts, albeit existing customer or prospect and then drilled to death of playbook specifics, which makes your job exponentially more difficult. Also, customers see right through it and you appear disingenuous and only out to corner them into making a decision to buy Wiz.

SALES PLAYBOOK = creating documents and applying them during the sales cycle with your champions and buyers and using MEDDPICC as the measuring stick of your deals in every discussion with management.

hmmm... with the playbook approach it's definitely very aggressive. If you make it to the later stages of the interview process you'll be able to get a sense of the territory, quota, etc and see if it something you're comfortable with. I will say Wiz is a very high growth, type A org, but if that's something you want to be apart of it might be a good fit. If you're wanting something that's more farming and not net new relationships, look to Majors or Strategic or another company that may be a better fit. Culture is fantastic and pay is great but can be stressful esp if that's not what you're looking for
