Former Employee I joined the DACH team as part of the expansion to 11 AEs. The onboarding at the office in The Hague was very well organized and the team in NL is awesome, very willing help and answer questions.
Returning to Germany the reality hit hard. There’s a toxic mentality fueled by the sitting CRO. Bullying, unfair practices and just plain insulting team members. He not only lacks empathy and manners, there’s also no strategy and no plan. As a CRO he thinks building the business is done cold calling everyone who can spell the word ‘cyber’.
And when targets aren’t met Mr Micromanager start the blame-game. Terminating other people instead of any accountability for his own actions and nobody dares to disagree.
I hoped that the introduction of new outside leadership would mean he would be replaced but unfortunately not.
A sharp contrast to the positive atmosphere I encountered during my onboarding. Which is a shame because the goal, the vision, the execution really resonates, the results in the Netherlands prove that. But if you get the chance to join the DACH sales team, Fliege so weit du kannst.
