Placer grew quickly by helping businesses close information gaps with actionable data. While the company achieved impressive growth, it also meant they were extremely frugal, which created challenges internally. They kept things very secretive, and the culture wasn’t great, to say the least. Unfortunately, they recently laid off over 150 people, myself included.

Sales team scaled too quickly and became too large resulting in very few AEs hitting quota. A lot of the issues around lead quality, allocation and other internal processes started breaking down.
