Is there a history of frequent changes in the compensation structure at strongDM? How are sales territories typically assigned at the company?

With the changes in sales leadership last year, we've adopted a more standard approach towards both frequency and timing of changes related to compensation & territories.

We have moved to an annual sales incentive comp rollout (quota, plan structure) that was completed within the first few weeks of the fiscal year.

We are assigning territories in a named account/geo based structure for two separate segments (Enterprise & Growth). ICP and number of accounts in Tier A-C drive the territory assignment.

Sales territories are assigned by region.  Some are also assigned using a Hopes and Prayers method. They created a "Strategics" team without any strategic customers, just pulled a list of the Fortune 500 and took the ability to prospect into all those accounts away from the Enterprise team.  The Strat team lasted maybe 4 months. 5 months after that they waved a magic wand and turned all the mid-market, transactional reps into Enterprise AEs and then a few months after that fired/laid them off so they could hire a new crop of Enterprise AEs to churn and burn.

There were changes but now with the new GTM leadership team in place, things are much more stable and organized. Enterprise reps cover a specific geographic territory that they live in.
