Consistent changing of product and GTM strategy led to fairly stagnant global performance for the VMware Tanzu portfolio. Many of the top performing, higher-paid SEs and AEs were let go as part of the Broadcom acquisition. While comp remains fairly strong and competitive, time will tell how the software org responds to the changes with the newco.

Disappointing, the VMware executive leadership are lacklustre and more focussed on personal gain than the long-term well being of the staff who have helped them earn so handsomely over the past few years.

This year we're being paid a recoverable draw of 100% OTE and paid on an area-wide team goal. Overachieving is nearly impossible.
