Being recruited for an Enterprise AE role…how is this segment in relation to others— is everyone still struggling? Also how are PIPs treated?

Haven't updated my profile here but recently left 6s. I'd strongly encourage you to do a quick linkedin search on previous Ent Reps who've left in the past 6 months- you'll find no shortage and get some direct feedback before further exploration.

On that note- strongly encourage you to look elsewhere... the company financially is in a fine position but the day to day in sales is horrible, I've never experienced such micromanagement, frankly closer to being on a BDR team earlier in my career. Product wise they're going full bore after Zoominfo on contact data which is a race to the bottom commodity on price.  Lot of leadership changes over the past year and I can't say the changes have been positive.  I did fairly well over the course of my tenure but the outlook of the next year was dismal and compelled me to leave.  Territories are fairly small and just cycled between reps so you're not really getting great accounts.  The hotspot is tech/software companies with more forward thinking and sophisticated marketing teams  which lends itself to anyone located and selling to san fran does decently well and plenty to hunt.. if you're in midwest or east, the pickings are quite bare..
