Working at AT&T Business was one of the most stressful jobs I’ve ever had. From day one, it felt like they set you up to fail. The quotas are extremely aggressive and constantly moving, and even if you hit them, the goals change the next month. Management pushes sales numbers over everything else—there’s no real focus on employee development or work-life balance. The company culture is very corporate and political, so unless you’re in the “inner circle,” it’s hard to move up. Training is outdated and doesn’t really prepare you for the reality of selling to business clients. You’re expected to cold call nonstop and push products that many customers don’t even want, all while dealing with systems that barely work. Compensation looks good on paper, but hitting commission targets consistently is almost impossible. The pressure to upsell and the lack of genuine support makes it a grind, and burnout is very common. If you’re looking for a career that values its employees and provides stability, I wouldn’t recommend AT&T Business. It’s more about squeezing numbers out of you than building a long-term career.
