AWS has an incredible brand with enterprises, government and start-ups all having a desire to use AWS services. In the recent AI hyper growth, AWS is seeing much more demand, but the ability to close is stagnating. GCP and MSFT are also closing large deals with high higher velocity, more executive energy and the competition is building with neoclouds and Oracle . Amazon continues to monetize in the first to market mentality but the ego and political system is putting them further behind. I would be cautious of any offer from their sales org.

100% depends on your manager, and even companies as advanced as AWS can hire complete incompetence. Top performers are side tracked with additional work and useless "side goals" that don't contribute to quota or customer success. Everything was great my first year until there was a change in management - most of the team quit within 6 months.
