Former Employee Prior to all of the leadership changes, AppFolio was a great place to gather experience being an SE. The culture and benefits were great too. However it’s not an ideal place to spend as an SE long term since the compensation for the position is so low. The amount of revenue and workload assigned to an SE is a complete joke. SEs get paid pennies on the dollar compared to the revenue they’re tied to. Compensation has greatly improved over the years but is still well behind the mark.
